What is worse than a bad coworker? A bad manager.

Bad bosses can definitely make or break you in a relatively short amount of time. It is worse when someone higher up protects and/or enables their bad attitude. And, much to our dismay, that happens often, and all the other employees have to bear the brunt of their meanness. 

Yet, people stay there. Maybe because they really like what they do and they're willing to bear it, or because they know they have to take care of their families and need to keep a job. Either way, the ones that are low on the food chain keep their heads down. It sounds unbelievably unfair, and it is. However, not all the bad people stay in power forever.

Redditor shadowshadow74 tells the story of the good guys who actually won against their narcissistic manager. After five years of having to bear her boss' hostility and another boss encouraging that behavior, her own colleagues had enough and drafted a secret report to HR. In the best spy-movie style, they were able to get her fired. What goes around, actually does come around after all. 

It's good to know that there's justice in this world for management that makes other people's work lives feel like jail. Because that's what it felt like for these employees to go to work, and no one should ever feel like that. It's also nice to see what people can achieve when they think strategically and work together. This doesn't mean that we all live in this fantasy land and now all the workers will live happily ever after with no boss. No, unfortunately, bosses are still necessary, or so I'm told. Still, even though they're never going to be our best friends, many of them are decent people who treat their employees with respect and kindness. And that's all we expect from them.
